| 2026-03-12: Cocopedia.com is now using a new caching system that should make things faster. Please let me know if you encounter any new issues.
2026-03-15: MediaWiki has been reinstalled and the old database and files restored. It was pretty clogged up from being upgraded so many times since 2004. I am also testing out Cloudflare to see if it can prevent the 'bot assaults that took the site down last year. OS-9 Al (talk) 21:20, 15 March 2026 (EDT)) |
Canadian Retro Things
Ken Waters is a YouTuber best known for his channel Canadian Retro Things, where he goes just by his first name and strictly follows a self-imposed dress code mandating colorful shirts in (ironically for a Canadian!) a tropical style. CRT (pun intended?) covers all retro computing, but Ken has stated that the first computer he ever owned was a 16K CoCo 2 and that the TRS-80 line of computers holds a special place in his heart [1].
Although CRT does not have a specific playlist that covers all Ken's CoCo videos while excluding all other platforms, it does have the following:
- Playlist: BASIC09 and NitrOS-9 Ease of Use
- Playlist: Interview with Robert Kilgus (filmed by L. Curtis Boyle)
- Playlist: BASIC09 Programming
- Playlist: Overall TRS-80 stuff; mostly CoCo but also MC-10, Model 100, Model I etc
Check out his full Playlists page where there are more Playlists that also include CoCo content.
Ken also does crossover appearances with other retro computing and especially CoCo personalities.
